1. You can probably get more for benning
2. Vesey is nothing more than a 3rd liner
3. Jones is untouchable for columbus unless you start with draisaitl and add
4. Winnipeg will probably want retention over a high draft pick or not go after russell at all because of their cap situation

My take in order
Benning trade is close but the picks should favour the Oilers
Yamamoto has a higher ceiling then Vesey so I wouldn’t do that one
Even if Columbus does rebuild, Jones is the exact type of player you rebuild around not trade
Russel is overpaid but I would not give a first round pick just to dump him. He is IMO a good 5-6 D for the 2 years remaining if we can’t find a taker

I understand that Benning is a better play then pouliot but i have seen people under value him for even 7th rounders so I was unsure.
I have seen vesey play like a 1st liner before so if he can stay in that form then he maybe will be able to produce with Mcdavid on his team it is risky but I think the oilers a willing to risk it at the point that they are at right now.
I know that even if they do rebuild you would want to build around jones but the already have werenski (sry if I typed it wrong) So I think that they would want to trade one away to rebuild.
I do regret the russel one as i could have added a 2rd instead to dump his salary.

Welcome to the community. This armchair doesn't look horrible, especially for a first. I have seen a lot worse and I mean a lot worse. Only advise id give is your 1st round picks might be worth quite a bit more then you might realize since they are likely top 10 picks.

Who you think is better is irrelevant. If Columbus needs a #1 centre and Is flush with RD, they could only dream of getting Drai without Jones. Where’d you see a Draisaitl level player in the Karlsson trade, or the Burns trade?

I let Kharia go because he has not been that good for edmonton and isn't worth the money I think he will be asking.

The salary cap is going to be around 83 mill next season. You should trade RFA’s you don’t want. You’ve traded the top winger prospects, 2 firsts, and 2 nhl RD plus the most experienced RD prospect. If you’re worried about players costing too much the best way to go is draft and develop. Trading prospects for immediate help is one of the reasons the Oilers are where they are.

Imo VAN and NYR trades are ok, giving up a first just to dump Russell seems pretty hefty, but that CBJ move isn't happening. Jones is about a TOP5 RHD on this league...very valuable. Werenski would be more likely to move, although I doubt that. Werenski-Jones brings a great first pair even for a rebuilding team.

Overall, I'd give this around 3/5. You have pretty good estimation in players' value, as far as I can see from this post. Things could be a lot worse.
