The team would def make the playoffs. They are 6 points out right now, and they suffered from injuries. Add in Skinner, Dzingel, and Kreider and we're definitely in.

Yeah good luck signing Skinner for less than 8. Not to mention there isn't a team in the NHL who wants Lucic. And if a single Free Agent who isn't a bottom 6 forward or 5-6 D actually wants to sign in Edmonton I'll sh*t myself. That organizations defines tire fire. Do Oiler fans realize that Puljujarvi has zero value (maybe a 4th to a desperate GM) and if you want to move Lucic you are going to be giving 1st/prospects and getting nothing in return?

In the trade above it would be more like: Lucic, Puljujarvi, Benson, 1st to NYR for a 3rd. No Kreider. Benson and the 1st to take Lucic without retention, the 3rd as a gift for Puljujarvi and a little makeup for the 1st. The 1st can be protected to some level.

This is so dumb. Dylan Strome was 21 and with a small add he returned Nick Schmaltz, a young 40-50 point center. Pulju is 20, and has accomplished more than Strome at the same point in their careers. And it looks like his balance and boardwork issues were due to a hip issue which he is getting fixed. In the preseason he was a beast, before he had his hip issues.

We don't need to add more than Pulju to dump Lucic. Benson is a great prospect, and the 1st speaks for itself. I'm tired of hearing these uninformed posters on capfriendly trying to establish their own value for Pulju and Lucic.
