There's a bit of risk here for both sides but I think it's pretty self explanatory what's going on with this trade.
Chicago takes a risk on Wennberg just needing a change of scenery and to get away from Torts.. Lol! But gets the younger C with more term hoping he can find his old form with Saad.
Columbus gets a still capable C in Anisimov who they're familiar with and who's contract expires sooner then Wennberg's does, they also get a former 1st round pick in Perlini and move up in the draft a round which is huge considering they have almost zero picks left after their TDL wheeling and dealing.. ?
This trade gives Chicago good strength down the middle and a good winger on each of their top 3 lines.
Even trade or is one team giving up too much?
Thinking the Jackets would maybe have to add a bit but I think this isn't too far off.
Note: I didn't do much with the lines and I know next season some of the Hawks prospects especially on D like Boquist will be pushing for jobs and might make the team and guys like Kunitz will be gone and UFA's will likely be signed I just didn't feel like diving deep into all that.
