While it is a need, I think dubas has an extremely high asking price on kapanen, and I cannot see him doing that trade, as weird as it may seem.
We have guys in the minors who will fill in soon, we just need a 2 year stop gap, no need to move out a guy like Kappy being the point of that logic.

Johnsson is the only top 6 pot LW in the entire organization. Kappy would move before mango does, even though I think Kappy is a (slightly) better version due to his speed. I think they'd move Bracco first, but that could turn into a jp 2.0 situation so who knows.

Well Johnsson with extension and Brown will most likely be around $4M - which is Larsson's salary, so money should not be the issue.

And yes, I don't see EDM moving for prospects in this hypothetical situation.

The leafs wouldn’t wanna move a roster player.... if you took Zaitsev then they would move Bracco and a higher pick. It’s hard to say no to Mcdavid but I think Nashville might, maybe if it was another top 6 forward other than Johansen or Forsberg, If then they have to add another pick that’d be ok ?
(Bracco is NHL ready tho)
