I don't know if Toews, Benn, Weber, and Suter should be there just yet. 100% their contracts will be garbage in a few years, but, for the production they are bringing rn, I would't be too phased at their contracts just yet

I agree that a lot of these contracts are out to lunch, but I think that a few aren't that far off from being fair. Toews, Getzy, Parise, Suter, and Benn are all pretty fair, IMO. The Toews contract might be about $1mil to high, but that's it. The only thing that is really unfair about these contracts are the NMC clauses in them.

You forgot Andrej Sekera, Travis Zajac, Andy Greene, Adam Henrique, Carey Price, and Henrik Lunqvist, IMO.

Left him off cuz cap hit is only 6.9 mil after this year, but yeah this year it's bad.

Matthews no, Tavares maybe simply because of term (worth 11 today maybe not in five years), Nylander yes and no kind of agree but 7 isnt a huge cap hit.

Toews Benn Weber and Suter are all there solely because of their age combined with term and dollars. before this season Toews had a bad couple seasons, Benn is having a bad year and will be old when that contract is up (at 8.5 or less i dont have Benn on here), Weber same thing, I think he's signed until he's like 38 or something crazy? Suter is signed till hes like 42, and Price i debated putting on but left off because he is still the best goalie in the league IMO.

62 pts in 59 games. He could hit 80. Plus he does way more than just get points if you watch him. If there was a winger to get top dollars, it would be him.

I would put stone in the "fair" category, not bad for player or team.

Little, pearrault, and kulikov can exit the jets payroll this summer with any luck and open up a ton of cap

never got more than 64 points and never played a full season. yes I thinks its safe to say he will produce more on vegas but based on his history, they over paid. i get why they did though, if they lost him, it would have been a disaster.

I agree too, they are still good, but they won't be by the tail few years of their deals, some sooner than others will decline fast, making the contracts bad.
