Description

A look at a potential new deal for Tkachuk and if we were to sign Hayes in free agency. Some money would need to be moved out, but trading Frolik's and Stone's deals could give them more than enough room to sign Gaudreau's college linemate and Tkachuk's cousin. Hayes, Tkachuk and Neal could make up a big, imposing line that cold bully other teams, and I bet Backlund could potentially elevate Jankowski and Bennett.

Couple things:
1. Talbot will command more money, despite the down year. My guess is $3M x 2 to remain in Philly and expire as Harts 2nd deal is set to kick in.
2. Tkachuk why not 8 years and do you think he asks for that much more than Mon & Johnny? I would bet he goes team friendly $7M x 8

2nd generation NHLers know that their game is a business and there isn't a hometown discount. With what the market is showing, I think your numbers for Chucky is fair (unfortunately) so that will handcuff Tre's ability to Tweak this week cause he won't sell the future for a rental that can't be resigned.

you definetly dont get talbot for that amount however i do agree with you evaluation of him. he isnt worth more than that but another team will definetly give him around 3 million.

if treliving was able to get this vision done i would say he is a god amonst sheep because i believe assuming neal gets back into his old form that makes that top 9 one of the scariest top 9s in the league

I could see Talbot being undervalued, but if hes asking any more than that then we can find another option. I could see him taking a one year deal on the rival of the team that gave up on him.

For Tkachuk's deal I went more towards the worst case scenario, just to show that even then we would have the cap room to sign a guy like Hayes.
