Description

After Koivu was declared done for the season I decided a playoff push was pointless and dealing staal could get us a great deal of futures. Tampa could move Tyler Johnson to the wing and have a top 3 centre depth of Stamkos Point and Staal, giving them no reason to lose in the finals, plus he can fit into their cap for this year. Toronto wouldn't like to give up Kapanen but Spurgeon is an enticing piece if they can dump Zaitsevs deal. This will also give the wild a chance to be retooled by the time Kaprizov comes from Russia

I'm not going to argue over Fehr's value, but he has been excellent this year in his 4th line center role and especially as an absolute stud of a penalty killer. His penalty killing prowess alone give him value as a rental to a playoff team. A 3rd round pick really isn't that far off...
