This AGM was setup to look at what sort of additions the Leafs need to make for the playoffs.
Based on how things are going thus far, the Leafs will likely either face the Montreal Canadiens or Boston Bruins.
I will say right off the bat, both matchups scare me a little, as far as physicality, and both teams have goalies that can steal games. Both teams can also play the speed game. All things considered though, I would much rather the Leafs face the Canadiens, as I am sure most Leaf fans would agree.
I think the moves I've made are both fair to the team the Leafs are trading with and helpful to the Leafs for the Leafs, and beyond. Neither move is a pure UFA rental.
The plan for Josh Anderson would be to play him on the 4th line, give him some PP and PK time and then trade Nylander after the season and move Anderson up in the lineup.
The plan for Josh Manson would be for him to take Nikita Zaitsev's place on the second D pairing, and give him 1st line PK time.
The Ducks would then trade Gardiner for futures. As a pure UFA rental, Jake Gardiner is worth at least a 1st round draft pick and good prospect. Kyle Dubas will need to swallow his pride to make this move, and I hope he does.
LMAO you overrated the guys in the deal lol. Quality>Quantity.
I think the fine line between you underrating and me overrating is the additional draft picks I've included as well. I would argue that Bracco is the Leafs best forward prospect (or at least, outside of Trevor Moore), so clearly, from that perspective, or at least if you are willing to believe that, the deal is fair.

Anderson is the piece they build around it's dumb to tear down from a Young person to build around for guys who won't reach him. 3rd and 4th really aren't value enough.

He's not a top-6 though, so what exactly are the Blue Jackets attempting to build? Another mediocre team? Let them rebuild properly with all the assets they will acquire when they move out certain pieces. Cam Atkinson, PL Dubois, Zach, Seth, those are the pieces you build around.

I am going to regret engaging with you because I can tell you have your pissy pants on this morning but the value between a 3rd and a 4th is almost the same as a late first or early second. The percentage difference between the two is marginal. A good organization like Tampa could easily find a diamond in the rough for that.
