Do you think both Duchene and Stone get long term deals done by the TDL?

Hard to say. If I had to guess; Stone yes and Duchene no.

I like the return for both teams. Could see Dzingel fitting in well with Carolina longer term and would still allow Carolina to move one of thier roster dmen (Faulk, Pesce, Hamilton) for another top 6 forward. Could see there being some sort of condition on Dzingel resigning.

Carolina don't do this AND move one of the RHD, They want to improve the forwards yes, but not at the cost of downgrading the D to that extent. Your talking about moving 2 roster D men for a 3rd liner in Dzingel and something else, I just don't see it,. Haydn would be a top 4 guy by this point if Slavin, De Haan Pesce Faulk Hamilton didn't sit ahead of him in the pecking order, look at how he played in Vancouver last night, he was lights out and he's always like this. Pesce stats wise is the best shutdown RD over the past 3 seasons, Hamilton is starting to find the net, Faulk's sacrificed some of that offence for defensive stability, which makes him much more dangerous as a 2 way D man. I don't see Carolina moving Haydn and another one while guys like Bean are still developing

I like Fleury but I'm not sure he would be a top 4 dman right now as he has split the season between the AHL and NHL. Carolina has said they want to make room for Adam Fox which makes me wonder how important Fleury really is too their future. They have a very strong Dcore without Fleury and have Fox and Bean on the rise. They could still trade Hamilton and get a top 6 forward and have a very strong Dcore.

Take a look at my post Hamilton for Huberdeau. It expands on this trade a bit.

I took a look and I didn't like that. Hamilton is outscoring Huberdeau.... Hamilton is a D man.... it's a nice idea but more is needed.

Back to the post at hand, Fleury is a top 4 D man on a LOT of teams, his defensive ability is outstanding, but with De Haan, Slavin, ahead of him he was never gonna get that chance. Carolina have 3 top 4 pairings, thats the main issue. Fleury I can't see being moved until bean is ready, because the talent Bean is..,.. is only an AHL rookie. Fox I want to sign but he's going to go to free agency and he wants to play somewhere he can get top 4 minutes. He's not getting that in Carolina, not with Pesce, Hamilton and Faulk

Dzingel has 20 goals already this year, had 23 last year, is on pace for 60 + points on a terrible team this year and can fly. I'd say he's more than third liner.

He's a Ferland, he's a middle 6 winger on a contender

Hamilton isn't outscoring Huberdeau? Huberdeau has 49pts in 48games.
