Description
We would obviously need to trade another D-man or another forward.

- The main trade ;
Pens get
- LW- M.Wood - A speed / physical guy that could replace Hags speed.
- C- P. Zacha - This could be a steal here in getting a former #6 overall pick that has got a crazy good game but who has had a down year and a change mite help him.

I think Zacha and maybe wood would cost more but idk exactly what Njd are doing.....they were a playoffs team..they seemed to take a step back this year. if they plan to do a quick rebuild they might want something for the future...maata wouldn't really be a future or a player can build around. jarry would be a solid pick up but I imagine if they had to pick they would ask for desmith over him....also idk who the penguins have in the pipeline for goalies but they trade one goalie prospect to the sens and trading jarry might kill all their goalie depth.....hayes doesn't seem to have much or any value to them... just my opinion

they have to trade Jarry, his contract is 1 way next year.

Why put Rust on the 4th line. He's a much better player than that.

If I was going to trade I think Zacha is the one I would really ask for. But I'm not sure I'm giving up all that much for it. The production just isn't there. But he could be a 3C next year maybe.
His next contract probably won't be all that high either. He's not worth both Jarry and Maatta, I might do Jarry for him one for one. But think they could get a better return for Maatta.

yeah if his contract is one way it makes sense to trade him. do the penguins goalie depth? im not being a dick honest ? after jarry who is the next guy in line? not that they need someone but for injury sake im just wondering. and idk if njd are trying to move the young guys currently. they are in a weird spot bc being a middle of the pack team is worse than being a bottom of the pack bc you don't get the high draft picks....and if a league that benefits you for being bad being okay isnt alwy the best move..... I wonder if they would trade hall for a big return

They have Alex D’Orio in the CHL. He's having a rough year of it, but he has shown really solid play in the past. I don't know whats up with him this year as I don't really see many of those games.
I think I read he was having injury issues in the prospect camp though. But he's about the only notable player. I don't think they are really worried about it. Most teams are lucky to have 2 goalies let alone a 3rd. Most AHL goalies aren't going to help in the NHL. But you never know, the emergency goalie won a game for chicago!

I doubt they trade Hall. I don't think him and some of the other young players like Hischier are the problem. I think they need better goal tending and they need some better depth. Hand full of players can't carry a team. It's not the NBA. You have got to have 9-10 solid pieces to have a good team. They don't.

Yeah very few teams have a goalie that can consistently get wins playing 60 games a year.

Thats fair... like i said .. i just thought of it and wanted feed back 1st, didnt put too much thought into it.
- I love Zacha as a player, and since he is having a down yr .... was thinking we could steal him and sign him at a low cost and maybe he gets his game back? I think he had a bad concusion at begining of season ?? cant remember tho
- I put Rust on 4th line bc he is "The Swiss.... I mean "Rust Army Knife" and he can play on any line at any time ... and when he is at 4th line RW on my lines , i kno the team is deep enough
