Jason Zucker

To Minnesota:
Jeremy Bracco
Toronto 2019 1st
Nikita Zaitsev (have to include him for cap reasons, he's still somewhat useful)

Leafs are rumoured to be interested in Jeff Skinner, I'd highly prefer Zucker over Skinner anyday since Zucker is signed at a reasonable contract. Zucker is a solid two way player who can score 20-25 goals on Minnesota, put him with Matthews and Nylander and I think he hits 30 with ease and plays solid defence. We give up Zaitsev, who can be effective but in a better, offensive role which he won't get in Toronto, Bracco, who yes looks like a good prospect at almost a point per game in the AHL but the Leafs RW depth puts him at a long shot to make the roster soon, and a 1st round pick this year that would be between 25-31 which is essentially a early 2nd rounder.

I'll gladly accept that kind of trade from Toronto. Hurts our defence for the moment, but there's cheap options like Trever vanRiemsdyk or someone else out there that are available.

U guys would have to give a TON to get Buffalo to trade Skinner to a division rival
And he’s have to just be a rental, right?
Can’t see how you’d sign him moving forward with your Cap issues

that's why I said I'd prefer Zucker because he's under team control longer at only $5.5M.. it was just a rumour that Toronto was interested in Skinner.

Coyle to MTL

Shaw + Jake Evans + 2nd 2019 to MIN

Before you start to scream, here is what Hockey's Future say about Evans:

''Evans had a breakout season at the University of Notre Dame in 2015-16 as a sophomore. Leading the Fighting Irish in assists, he was one of the top playmakers in college hockey. He is expected to spend at least one more season in South Bend before turning professional but has opened eyes in his first two seasons. He is still adding the bulk and strength necessary to play at the pro level but Evans has the potential to be an effective second or third line forward.''

Also Shaw has the same stats as Coyle, with more years left on his contract.

MTL wins short term, MIN wins long term.

Wishing you a good rebuild,

Au revoir wink
