The immediate future will come on the right side. Brooik, Fleury, Jullsen and maybe Learnout.

I doubt any of them beside Juulsen will make the roster next year. All need some experience in the AHL first.

Why folks keep on trading LTIR as if they have any meaning to the cap. Plus you can't buyout LTIRs

So why Columbus trade him to Vegas for Draft Consideration if he’s not a problem ?

The only cap factor on LTIRs is it MIGHT determine WHEN a team can pay performance bonuses. It can determine under certain circumstances that a team cannot pay its performance bonuses in the same season and will have to carry the performance bonuses to the following season.
Columbus's trade, though undocumented were for draft considerations and who Vegas would select in the draft. Clarkson addition might have been really meaningless. unless they were in the position of when they wanted to pay their performance bonuses.

So why teams gave their 1st or 2rd pick for a bad contract ex : Clarkson, Stoner etc

You don't get it regarding Vegas. Teams gave extra picks to Vegas, so they Vegas would not draft certain players. Take the Ducks. Ducks could only protect 3 Dmen, I believe it was Fowler, Lindholm and NMC Bieska. They made a deal to Vegas so they wouldn't take Montour and Vegas would draft Stoner.....(I can't remember the exact details.).
It's become an obsession on this site about trading of LTIRs and 99% of time it has no meaning. Hossa was traded was reason, and it was because of LTIR, it was because there was the danger he might at some come off of LTIR ()medically cleared) and the Hawks didn't think they could fit his 5.25m into a their future cap space. But Arizona believes they can, even if he returns, and his salary just 1m a year. So Hossa would" retire". cause he doesn't need the money, and the the Coyotes are just out cap space.
Just saying there are reasons for trading for LTIRs, but almost all them have no cap meaning. Teams are not cap punished for having players on LTIR.
Bigphil a aimé ceci.
