They'd probably come cheaper than that imo. As a Bruins fan I don't care for either team much, but I think MTL wins this deal big time.

Price's Save% the last 2 years is around .900 and he;s only had 2 shutouts in 79 games lol. His GAA is nearly 3 over those 2 years. You don't have to use Andersen's best numbers in Toronto to make him look good compared to Price, his worst GAA per year in Toronto is 2.81 and his lowest Save % per year in Toronto is .918 twice. Those are both better than Price this season and certainly last season as well. I'd say at most Toronto should be giving up Andersen 1st and Sandin for Price.

Weber Vs Nylander, Kadri, Marleau seems terrible value for Toronto. I'd rather have Nylander than Weber straight up given their ages.

stick to baseball, coach. so leafs get a worse goalie, (debatable) so weber costs the leafs a regular centre, rw, lw (who doesn't waive his mmc) their best prospect. even the leafs aren't the charitable at Christmas.
Canadians have to add domi and gallagher and have 50% on price and weber

Yeah I think the Leafs pass. We have a better Goalie at half the price (get it?) and while Weber would help in the short term, he is declining and his contract would kill the Leafs. His value while positive, might be positive in the same way Zaitzev's is reportedly. Weber might get some okay picks and a decent prospect IF you can find the right team.

Also you are bat **** crazy if you think you get that return for them. Price might be at his lowest value ever and no team is taking that contract on without some serious retention (and even then...) while Weber I mentioned above. Hudon doesn't add anything to the Leafs. We have 5 guys like him either on the Leafs now or developing on the Marlies.

For this offer, Leafs would give you...
Weber (no ret):
+ 2020 1st (top 15 protected)
+ 2021 2nd
+ 2019 3rd
+ Andreas Borgman
+ Connor Brown

Price (no ret):
- 2020 1st (top 15 protected)
- Connor Brown

For a total of:
To TOR:
Price (no ret)
Weber (no ret)

To MTL:
2021 2nd
2019 3rd
Borgman

And the cap doesn't work so league kills the trade.
Maybe you can find a better package for Weber on his own, but I doubt it, would need 50% ret. Ask around.

Habs aren't the team with cap problems AND a defence problem. Go ahead and blow the best years of Tavares, tried to help. You don't realize the pickle you are in and it will take trading some talent to get out of it.

you're funny. it, not my pickle I'm in. it's the leafs cap issue. your silly trade suggestion just made the leafs cap worse and their team worse. leafs have very little bad money so players can be traded if they need cap. I do agree with you the leafs might have to trade a good player for cap space. but they certainly aren't making a bad trade and taking on more cap as you suggested. habs have cap but also bad money in alzner, an untradeable Weber and Price.
