Sprong has more upside, given his age and scoring history than Burakovsky. Also, Pettersson isn't much better than that return, his ceiling is most likely a 5th Dman, maybe a 4th Dman on a bad team.

Anaheim's defensive struggles have been more a product of Carlyle's systems than their defence roster. Besides, Sustr has been replaced by Dotchin on that right side, and Mahura and Larsson fill out the left side.

not at all ..... bura at worst has shown hes a top 6 .....sprong was at best playing 4th line on an average penguins squad. but to each their own

Maybe Silfverberg+Ritchie for Burakovsky? Value is odd because the Caps can't afford to re-sign Silfverberg next year, making him not the best fit, but a rental makes the difference between Burakovsky and Ritchie..

Maybe Bura+Kempny+3rd for Lindholm. Kempny's top ten in the NHL in blocks and plus/minus, as he was in the playoffs. Linholm adds more offense, but at 23, Burakovsky has a high ceiling, offensively.

Maybe Burakovsky for Fowler, when he gets back and plays well for a bit?

I think he's had a rough start to this year, but he's a 23 year old who's in the top 186 forwards over the last four years in G, A, P, pts/game, pts/60, even strength goals, and some other stuff. There are 186 top six forwards. He's scored like one of them, for four years. He's 23. 30 teams would love to have him at some price, so it's a matter of finding the one that wants him for something that helps the Caps contend.
