written about by a beat writer for the rangers as the one they SHOULD target.. don't think avs will ever give him up.

Would Colorado consider
Hayes + Pionk for Makar and a conditional 1st rounder in 2020 (if hayes is resigned, otherwise a 2nd round pick)?

I know Makar is a stud and Sakic will probably hold on to him, but with the depth they have at RHD with Johnson, Barrie and another good prospect in Timmins (and getting Pionk all who play RHD)?

For the rangers this would be amazing as they would have a top pairing of Miller and Makar in a few years. All just speculation cause i don't think colorado would or should give him up.

i agree.. but the deal i posed wasnt just a rental-- it was also Pionk. while there will be a drop off from Makar in his prime to Pionk in his prime it is also the inflated price of a center like hayes at the deadline-- i do not think hayes gets makar alone though, pionk or another prospect would HAVE to be added.
