Description
TML gets Petry to help on Power Play .

MTL gets Sandin ,Gauthier(merch sales in laval as he's a local) , 2nd in 2019 and a 3rd in 2020 giving up nothing from their roster today and adding depth for the playoffs i think TML does this as MTL retaining gives them a RD at a price thats hard to match

Murphy and Kulak are there to buy Mete ,Sandin ,Fleury and Brook the year to develop so 2/4 can step up at camp and take a starting spot .

Glendenning solidifies our Rotating door of Centers on 4th C as he's a solid Faceoff Center who like to hit at a reasonable cap with a history of mentoring youth .

Plenty of AHL Call ups acquired for injury call up needs who can hopefully step up and earn a full time roster spot in the future .

its time to move people out now before Suzuki,Poehling ,Evans ,Brooks or Fleury get their chance at camp to push them out .(we'll get more selling some pieces at the TDL it maximizes return)

You won’t get Sutter from Washington, but you’ll probably get a higher pick and a low end prospect for Scherbak and Benn. Hudon won’t get that return, but you’ll get Shaw and maybe a 6/7th round pick. Pittsburgh will want an RHD prospect, Schlemko, and a middle pick for Määttä. The Toronto trade and the idea as a whole are a prefect fit for where the Habs are. Nice work!

That Toronto trade does not work for the Leafs. Just because we need a right handed shooting defensemen, doesn't mean we'll take everyone. Petry is slow and won't keep up with the Leafs. He'd be a bottom pairing guy thats overpaid. I'd much rather Zaitsev or Ozsighanov over Petry. And Sandin has been highly impressive as a teenager in the AHL. No chance Toronto even considers that.

Petry has many negative things about him, but tell that he's slow indicate that you don't know him and probably all NHL teams exept TML... Congradulate!!!

Petry would fit perfectly in the leafs system lol he’s not perfect in the defensive zone, but Petry is all offense and transition. That’s literally his game.

Petry in a perfect world is a #3 Dman, a legitimate 2nd pairing guy. But looking at all the leafs RD. He’d be on the 1st pairing with Reilly. Not gonna happen though, you just don’t see big trades between teams like MTL an TOR.

I'm sorry friend, but I honestly think none of those trades make sense.

You're conviniently dumping our overstock of useless players for good players. I don't see any "win-win" situations there.

Petry is slow ?

you're kidding right ?

he QB's the play he comes in first more often then not especially in the PP.

you dont want Petry , fine but you'll have another 25 plus years of a D core a STC wouldnt wipe their arse's with

then that speaks more to your hockey IQ then anything else budd

if you're a habs fan and call everyone i moved useless you've just had your habs fan card removed for being so oblivious .

those with hockey IQ break down what works and what doesnt .
those with no IQ just make dumb comments based on nothing to be argumentative

1- Maata > Shlemko and those picks = underpayment AND PIT are not in need of draft picks, as long as Crosby is there they can compete for cups. This trade WEAKENS their team without added value short term or even long term (don't think you can get a top 4 d with those picks)....

2- Riley Sutter is an ELITE PROSPECT and you think you can get him for JORDIE BENN and a 7th DRAFT PICK? Really?

3- Mason Shaw is an ELITE PROSPECT and you think CHARLES HUDON who can't even score on a 1st line with Domi and Drouin is worth an elite prospect and on top of that, 2 draft picks? Dude?!

Like... I could keep on going... But you I think this is enough of an embarassment. You asked for it when you said my "hockey IQ" wasn't good. Let me give you the same compliment friend. Absolutely ridiculous.
