That is a terribly short sighted trade for TO, the age gap is not a good thing.

Ellis for Nylander is fair, but to include the Leafs top prospect is one sided for Nashville.
Tell me, you sign Nylander for 8m....and want Liljegren but you return to the Leafs just a 6.25m player (starting next year). Nylander by all comparable is not a 8m player....about 6.5m

this is a bad trade.
But the bigger issue is that tomorrow is November, and my guess is contract talks are done at that point. It's trade me time. I think you will have a trade in the next two weeks or so.

Nylander one for one is a fair offer for Ellis, Fat chance i see Dubas including Liljegren in the deal. I mean it helps both teams. Just don't see Poile dealing after giving him his long term deal.
