Description
a couple trades to bring in RHD - also bringing in ferland. ferland is an energy guy and can play on any line| also split up dumo and letang. i don't trust Johnson paired up with Petrovic. so pair a responsible dumo with petrovic . and pair Johnson with letang. JJ can stay at home while Letang does his thing on offense

I don't think Carolina will trade Ferland. They just get him and the guy is hot.

I don't think Dallas is already willing to trade Honka. Specially for just a mid pick. It's to soon to do that, unless they get a no-brainer offer.

As for the Panthers offer, I think we could try to get better players than Petrovic. But it's a possibility...

Why would Canes do that? Ferland is playing on their 1st line, you are offering them nothing in return.

Honka had been a disappointment, but i doubt they are ready to take 50 cents on the dollar for him. Cost them nothing to hold onto him and hope he turns it around.

the ferland trade is just assuming by the TDL the canes are out of a playoff race. & the same reason why EDM would trade schultz. he isn't going to breakout in dallas like you guys think. guys like that need a change of scenery.

I doubt they are out of the race if they get anything from their goalies. Even if they are, you are offering nothing. They would get more. Teams overpay for deadllne deals.

I didn’t say he would breakout. But giving him away is pointless. If he is moved it would be part of package to improve the team. He’s not a roster or cap problem. I agree they should be looking to move him, not like that though.

they won't make it far with their average goalies. even though they're getting the job done right now. it's only the start of the season. the hurricanes def won't finish last but they won't keep up their hot start imo. and Canes didn't even get a first round pick or great prospect for skinner so don't know why you expect that someone will overpay for a lesser talent

Skinner had an NMC and was a rental. They were limited. They did not get enough for him though. That is on the GM and the situation. Has nothing to do with value. By that logic Oilers should trade McDavid for him...you know Taylor Hall and all.

Goalies are average. If Darling does not rebound they will likely try to upgrade. They were only 6 points out of a playoff spot with a month to play then limped home last year with the worst goalie play in the league and less talented team. I see them making the playoffs this year.
