Bad trade for MTL... but value is not too bad...
1- Weber is more valuable than Nurse, but not by far (around +3M on the cap)
2- Price is more valuable than Talbot, by far... and Talbot is UFA at the end of the season (+6.5M on the cap)
3- RNH is more valuable than Byron, by far... and Byron is UFA at the end of the season (-5M on the cap)
MTL has no interest in Talbot, but for the dean run, it's necessary. The dean should be WEBER, PRICE (no salary retain) and BYRON for NURSE, TALBOT, RNH, LUCIC, a 1st and maybe one other piece.

Strange, I looked at this proposal and the detail that bothers me the most is that you have Caggiula playing in the top six.

Once I wrap my head around that, I begin to think clearly again. There’s no way this happens. Aside from the obvious issue of Weber’s injury, it’s simply too much salary and term headed to Edmonton. Sekera may be on LTIR, but that doesn’t give Chiarelli free license to spend to the cap. Until the extent of Sekera’s injury is understood, and it’s determined when, or indeed if, he returns, Chiarelli has to plan to have his full cap hit back on the books within a few months.
