As an Oilers fan, you're overpaying for Nugent-Hopkins. Something I think both teams would be satisfied with would be RNH+3rd for Barrie as is. Not sure if Edmonton's as desperate for a RHD now given that they have their guy (Bouchard) coming up in the system.

I think you might be able to get the Habs to retain more on Price. Can't imagine any good coming out of the media regarding another elite goaltender going from Montreal to Colorado.

You cant possibly be an Avalanche fan.. These are horrible deals they hurt the Avs big time in the future. 9 millon for a goal tender for another 7 years.. NO THANKS. Its why we went out and Philipp Grubauer and gave him a 3 year deal at 3.5 million to be that guy .

The Avs are NOT trading young prospects. They are getting younger not older. Kaut will be on the team probably next season. 2019 1st you want to give up could be a top 10 pick as we are NOT guaranteed to make the playoffs.. i would us at 60% of not making it.. So many things went right down the stretch to get in and it still took till the last day and career years by so many players.

Nugent-Hopkins no. We can get a better package for Barrie from anther team.. he is RH which is what a lot of teams want and is great on offense. I dont think Barrie gets traded till after the season or they may trade Erik Jonson instead to get away from the 5 years left on his deal due to his injuries and age.

We are not giving up the Ottawa pick for Carey Price along with our own 2019 1st. That is a rip off. That is giving up 2 top 10 picks in a strong draft class. We will just keep our picks and prospects and keep building through the draft

You still aren't getting Otts 1st. No one is going to tear down their future for a 31 year old goalie singed for 8 more years at 10m. Varly and Grubruaer were both Top 15 goalies statisically last year. Price doesnt really. upgrade anything just eats up cap now well into the future

hes a hall of fame goalie but he wont win a cup with a team that is paying him the full amount of that contract, 950k doesnt change anything. Try retaining 3-4m, then teams realistically can still build a roster
