OTT loses: Erik Karlsson, Cody Ceci, Zack Smith, Ryan Dzingel
CBJ loses: Seth Jones, Oliver Björkstrand, Sonny Milano, Gabriel Carlsson, 2019 1st round pick, 2020 2nd round pick

Ideas behind the trades
TB: Gets some awesome reinforcements that are cost-controlled in order to win the cup and stay under the salary cap
OTT: Gets some great young future assets for their rebuilding
CBJ: Adding some massive talent to the team in order to be more successful in the playoffs in the future. Last two seasons the cup winner has eventually faced CBJ in the playoffs, and CBJ has lost ultimately because of their lack of the greatest tier players - especially now that Panarin's about to leave the team.
Tampa has cap issues, they need to shed some cap and gaining Seth Jones would not be a loss. I’m still mulling over this but im wondering 2 things does CBJ want karlsson over Jones with the contracts the way they are. If they did... could they not put together a better 3 way trade with a team that could sign panarin? Maybe NYR, FLA or another team panarin could sign to.
They could shed panarin give up Jones and take karlsson Dushene and stone.
It seems to me that this trade is almost forcing TBL in there to try and control their cap. That might be why it seems like they are getting the short end of the stick.
I just don't see why everybody keeps trading poor Tyler Johnson. My understanding is that he has an absolute no-trade contract until the end of the 2021 season. Why would he waive that and leave sunny Florida where there is no state income tax to go play in Columbus?

You are 100% right and also lower his chances of winning a cup.

He could probably be replaced by J.T. Miller if necessary, but thenCBJ should give something as well. A 3rd round pick could do, for example.
The biggest wrench in this scheme is Columbus. If they did this trade it would mean that they would have to sign Bobrovsky, Karlson and Pierre Luc to a new contract. Thats quite a price tag for an off season, Bobrovsky will be using Price/Lundqvist as his contract comparables which means $9-$11 million, Karlson is looking for big money so thats a doughty contract at $11 million and PLD is probably around $6.5-$7 million. Would be an interesting time.

I believe Bobrovsky will end up as UFA. Probably a team like CAR or CGY that look for a solid 1G will give him more money that he actually deserves.

Because sunny florida sucks and Tampa is overrated. All that firepower and nothing to show for it, the new capitals now that the capitals have won.
