Not nearly enough from Philly. Spurgeon alone is worth a year of Simmonds + Sanheim. Nino and Staal for Vecchione and those two picks is highway robbery. Philly would never do this but if you added a young stud like one of Konecny or Patrick instead of Vecchione and the picks, have Minny add like a 3rd (possibly a 2nd) and we would definitely consider this.

If you consider Nino a younger version of Simmonds, how are they equal in a trade? Nino has 4 years of term left and will be 26 this season. Simmonds is going to be 30 and on an expiring contract. That alone makes Nino more valuable. Philly is coming out way ahead in all aspects of that trade.
