No trades no ufa’s

Description
Not saying that we won’t add any ufa’s just saying that it isn’t a necessity. With what I know about these prospects that are now staring to fill this roster I think this team looks dominant. The defense looks quite competent. The scoring will be there, even on the 4th line. I skipped out on a few prospects, picked the ones that I thought would win the spots in 2 years.

Just getting fed up with all of the insane trades and crazy ufa signings. If we keep doing what most leafs fans suggest the marlies will never lose a game lol.

"No trades no ufa’s" Then I think you get off CapFriendly.smile Half of the Leafs trades are based on overpaying for average RHD.s. Your lineup looks really close to what could be. As we have seen throughout the years, drafting correctly gets the teams it's stars but also it's cheaper secondary teams. Leafs seem to be on that path.

Problem I have with this is everyone is taking a discount just so they can overpay Tavares, who is already 20% over Stamkos. Does Nylander take 10% less than Stone, while arguably a player with way more upside? All of this nibbling around edges is not good for morale. Also high cap - Possible this works if players get the cap maxed out, but frankly as a fan I think what I pay for tickets now is already over the top.

I think what you mean is potential not upside. Stone is one of the best two way players in the league. (Please don’t crucify me I said “one of”) he is the takeaway master and also signing a deal in his prime, that went to arbitration.So many contracts are all over the place this year. Why not compare to Larkin? It’s more than 10% more than he will be making as a centre. I see Toronto spending 24-25m on the big 3.

This is also 20/21 not sure if you noticed. Cap should be close. I’m also sitting at 1.7m with an extra player on my roster.
