Leo is so underrated it's crazy, I agree that a 35 yo Leo @ 3mil might hurt a bit but getting a couple good years at just 3 mil is totally worth it

Well, these are more so ones that aren't seen as terrible yet.

I felt the same. They can still manage to sign them, but it does limit their options. Marleau’s isn’t as bad as Wilson’s because Marleau does put up 25+ goals and it’s only for 3 years.

With a career high of 14 goals playing with one of the top duos in the league. To put it into perspective, 25 year old JT Miller plays with Stamkos and Kucherov and he makes 100k more than Wilson. Miller has as many points in 2 seasons than Wilson does for his whole career. Wilson has a role that he plays well, but not 5 million dollars a year well.

Kovy's contract already hurts and we're still 2 months away..

He only played with them the last 20-30games and playoffs. Next season will be a better scale to weigh this on

He did play with Backstrom and Ovi for half the season as well. He was the most productive during that time. He has literally been gifted the chance to play with the game’s best players and he has produced at a mediocre pace.

Are you on crack? Last year he played for 60 minutes all season with Beagle. With Ovechkin he played 700 minutes. Those numbers are at even strength.
