There's no market for Lucic among armchairGM's, so Edmonton will have to keep him.
Which is fine with me. At Christmas last year, Lucic was on pace for a 59 point season, easily covering his "albatross" contract. Then he got sick and his point totals plummeted. To give him credit, he kept playing right through to the end, even though he would have been totally justified in taking time off.
So I'm happy to keep him. His illness is under control and he's got a chip on his shoulder from all the negativity. There's a very good possibility that he'll be, once again, the league's premier power forward.
