I just do not understand the Canes trading for E Staal back after we traded him away. If he is willing to return and retire as a Canes......why not just wait a year and sign him in FA? We are in no rush to compete for a cup this year and giving up assets for him would just be bad management. This doesn't mean I wouldn't love to see him back with us but trading assets for him is a poor move for the future.

As far as trading a Captain in Faulk......we just did it with Staal doubtful we care at all that Faulk was CO- Captain this year.

Thats what i thought haha, makes zero sense, I would rather keep all sekera and russell to keep Puljujarvi then trade 3 for Spurgeon LOL. They fact you think Spurgeon is worth 3 NHL players plus a first is laughable in itself. And if your flipping Russel and Sekera for picks with no salary retention, then Edmonton could easily do the same......
