    Your really over valueing Staal. He has done nothing but decline, rather Hudon and picks then a 31 year old third pairing defenceman. That’s like the exact opposite trade you want to make if your rebuilding

    I would do the DAL, NJD, COL, CHI trades.

    NYR trade is aweful. and I'd rather keep a 20goal scorer in Byron if that's all I could get for him in the EDM deal.

    Yeah, listen, if Bergevin pays to take Staal from the Rangers, he deserves to be fired even more than usual. Staal is an old defenseman on an overly expensive contract for what he is now, which is a bottom pairing defenseman. If Bergevin called Gorton with this offer and Staal said yes, Gorton would be given GM of the Year on the spot.
