I'm not thrilled to trade Krug, I love the guy and I think he is a great fit in Boston, but if he can fetch a return like Nugent-Hopkins and we can move Krejci in the deal also, freeing up some valuable cap space, then I am not opposed to it.

Caggiula is an intriguing player. Small, but that hasn't ever deterred me from a player. He's fast, he's shifty, and I think he would be a good 3rd line winger for us, maybe even slot in on the second PP unit.

Lineup Notes: Bjork starts in the AHL, just to get back up to speed, but he will be in the NHL sooner rather than later.
I know having Backes on the fourth line is gonna draw some criticism, as he is making 6 mil per year, but honestly I dont know where else he would fit into this lineup. If we can, ideally we would move him and free up some space for the youngsters, but I dont know what kind of deal he would fit into, so for now i have him as a 4th line winger. Sue me

Keep in mind I'm just testing the waters on this one, so feel free to call me an idiot or, even better, offer up some counter moves instead.

i don’t think EDM wants to pay their C3 7.25 a year. If they would and Krug is going i’d want Klefbom back. Which probably means adding Heinen to the deal which i don’t like.

Would not mind replacing Krejci with RNH at C2. I just think it would require a seperate deal with another team to take Krejci, a 3 way, or they’d want us to take Looch or Sekera. No matter how it went down, not sure you’d be happy with the end results.

Perhaps I was thinking a bit too far in advance. We have some big names needing new contracts soon, and we need the cap room.

We could wait until the offseason for this, but what if Nuge has a monster season? All of a sudden his value skyrockets, and the Oilers want to keep him, or want much more in a trade. I get it seems like a bit of a lateral move now, but in the future i think it would look good

Yeah that's fair, I would like Klefbom back also but I dont wanna lose a guy like Heinen, which is why I left him out. I think we could muster up a 3 way deal that would be advantageous to us, but right now I have no clue what that could be. I would have to gauge the interest in Krejci around the league first. It would be our best option though, because there's no way we could afford to take on Lucic or Sekera's contract

I'm pretty sure no trde clauses were invented specifically so players wouldn't end up in Edmonton. No way will krejci waive

I mean, Krug had 59 points last season and even missed some time. I'm not his biggest fan but that has a lot of value.
