Im a Leafs fan and that is just 3 not wanted fringe NHLer with no good future in NHL for consistent 30+ goal scorer with 1 bad season.. this is laughable offer

You're buying damaged goods, coming off a very tough season, who has worn out his welcome in Montreal and is a one year rental. All 3 players offered would move immediately into the Canadiens roster.

It would take atleast 1st or 2nd rounder, LHD prospect and C prospect, or NHL ready players for same posts.. so MTL fans.. is this good offer for Patch?

I honestly wonder how many leafs fans think the Marlies could make the playoffs in the NHL.

I mean we see their players, and not the prospects, in trades for all stars, Olympians etc. all the time.

I think some of the responses to this trade is a little harsh, if you package a mid level prospect and a pick with this it would be more understandalbe, but the fact remains Montreal has to ice a roster, these guys can play. But throw in a 3rd and a 2nd with the condition that if he resigns it becomes a first.

The prospects that would have to be sent in return for Pacioretty wouldn’t be ones the leafs would want to see leave ( Liligren ) but I don’t think Montreal accepts anything from a rival that isn’t an over pay

At least make it reasonable. 3 players who will likely never be NHL regulars? You would have to include somebody with some value to even get Bergevin to listen. Especially if he is going to trade a pure goal scorer to MTL's biggest rival
