Exciting times. Lots of dead money on that 3LD but both contract expire at the end of the year. Hopefully we could flip one of Gunnarsson or Bouwmeester at the deadline for picks.

No one would take them for picks at the deadline, but even so, why would you want to? They make the team better, regardless of their cap hit. Assuming they don’t get an upgrade

Bouwmeester doesn’t add anything to the team. At all..... period. Gunnarsson some. Mine as well just keep Bouw for the rest of the season knowing it’s his final year of the deal. Just save the picks.

If the Blues retained, there would definitely be interest around the league for solid veteran defenders. It’d also be bad asset management if we didn’t try to flip one.
