Ehh I don’t buy the Eklund hate. I take everything with a grain of salt because he doesn’t say anything about how serious the talks were, but I would buy that the conversation took place

Baptiste is a cheap NHL player who had better jr numbers and is a local player, his family coming out will pump up those attendance number

Even if you don't get the Eklund hate, Eklund has almost never been correct in a trade and he makes a ton of unrealistic proposals. Just think about it, why would the Flames trade one of the best players and most valuable pieces for an expensive and getting there in age centerman that they don't need?

He reports on rumors, and thats what I mean, he never says how in depth conversations got or details. Did Botts call on CGY or was it the reverse etc. He needs to be more detailed and people wouldnt give him so much crap. Also they've been forcing Bennett to play center when its clear he's much better on the wing, and ROR is younger and much better than Backlund. They have one great center, they should be interested in ROR.

It's just trading a waivers exempt player (Kloos) for one that has to pass through waivers (Fasching). I'd also make the trade and hope Fasching can stick on the 4th line.
