i think the way detroit is headed, they wont make this trade. they are in full rebuild mode. if detorit was contending right now, that trade would make sense. but its better they keep those picks and players and add around them. like noah dobson would be a godsend on the detroit blue line

Usually when picks or prospects are in a trade it's tough to get a fair value. In this case, I think all parts fit, and it's a good trade. If you have read my posts before I'm not at all in favour of sign and trades. But in this case, Detroit would need a sign and trade for Trouba since he two years away from being a UFA. But with Trouba apparent desire to be a UFA and Detroit seems to be a destination of his choice, again the pieces come together.
Detroit would have to be sold on Roslovic though, but he did have a fine year in the ASHL.

trouba is a 20 point defenseman. larkin is a 60 point center and one of the fastest skaters in the league. do u have any idea how hard it is to find a number 1 center in this league without drafting one? larkin has much more value then trouba. as for defenseman, with the detroid pick ur getting a top 4 defenseman, who can be in the nhl within the next 2 seasons. whether u draft hughes, dobson or bouchard, they will be bonafide top 4 defensemen, date i see even a top 2 defenseman. in that way, that top pick will be muccchhh better then roslovic.

I dont see Detroit moving their highest pick and a 21 year old in a rebuild year. If they were missing just a RHD that could take them to the next level maybe.

I am talking about a young Duncan Keith that can staple the Right end of any defence corps. Do you know how many teams are looking in the mirror as they lack the much needed RHD. Oilers have been a basement team for years after lacking a RHD

Points won't define defenceman, there is a reason teams jump on RHD, ask Toronto how their RHD end looks like. Roslovic played with Auston Matthews and watch his goals. He can be a Trochek type player if developed patiently. Will be up for Calder voting if he hadn't played 29 games

im not saying trouba is a bad defenseman. he is a great defenseman. but detroit giving up larkin for him is wayyyyyy toooooo much. im not even a detroit fan and this trade is atrocious.

Trouba is not better than Larkin. Larkin got speed and great offensive talent. The first could be way better than roslovic because it is the 6th overall. Especially with how deep this draft is there are some great players going late. A lot of them r defencemen too like Hughes who is supposed to be a really good d man so if they draft him or another one of the many D men available then that can be the D man that they need and they dont have to give up Larkin to get it.

You r using the hall for larsson trade in this. Thats how u know ur trade is bad. The hall for larsson trade was a horrible trade, hall being a MVP candidate.
