Though I think the deal is fair Hamonic wants to go to Canada at worst Minnesota. So though can see this happening colorado would be dealing with the same situation Islanders are right now.

Holy crap, people are over evaluating Hamonic! Yes he's good but jesus that's ridiculous. He's mainly worth a lot because he's signed long term at a under valued contract. Not because he's a #1 Dman. Once again he's good but not as good as the media has somehow convinced everybody he is.

He doesn't want to go to "Canada". He wants to be closer to home. MTL and Toronto are further away than Denver. This proposal was creative, but the value isn't there for Colorado IMO.

You know the line...."I wouldn't join a club that would have me as a member." Is this similar? "I wouldn't want a player on my team that wants to live in Winnipeg". Just kidding about the good city of Winnipeg and fine people that live there. This "situation" that Hamonic has created must be drag on himself and Isles.
