I don't want to give up a 3rd for nothing so... I think that trade is a win for ottawa, I think simmonds is better.

Simmonds is on an expiring deal, so it's a win-win to me. If Ottawa were smart they'd rebuild and target guys younger than Hoffman and Simmonds but they're not. As for Gudas, MTL has three 4th round picks. That's probably be more realistic, but I'm a Flyers fan obviously. Gudas isn't as bad as his reputation. He had a bad year this year, but he was really impressive last season. He has the ability to be a legit 2nd pair D.

Gudas had a bad year because he was saddled with Manning. When he and Sanheim played together he was much better. I am excited to see him rebound next year.
