Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
Wheeler in the last year of his deal. CGY looking for a top line RWer Winnipeg needing to sign all the youth. Could be an interesting year.

Hamilton added to the D-core instead of Myers is huge. Draft best C or RHD available at #2. Rest are moved for CAP reasons.

CGY gets a top 5 RWer in the league and a solid middle 6 player in Armia. EDM wants a top 4 RHD and to improve asap so they spend the #10 oa to get it and a middle 6 guy in Dano whos being undervalued by the Jets and can't get into the line up. Mason and Chiarot are moved simply for CAP space to re-sign stastny.

    Wheeler is on the wrong side of 30 and will not get you a younger top 2 d-man in Hamilton

    Myers has only one year left on his deal, and although he is good, there's no way he gets you 10th overall

    Wheeler is incredible in every single way, but at 31, going on 32 and needing the final major deal of his career......CGY has to pass unless something much more than Dano came back.

    Interesting idea though. I suspect WPG will be more focused on keeping Wheeler over Stastny though.

    As a Jets Fan, I would want Wheeler to stay. Hamilton may be good but not something the Jets need. Its basically trading Hamilton for EDM first rounder. Myers is the same as Hamilton in my mind.

    Well, Myers may have some more upside yet, but Hamilton is an established Top Pairing guy. He generates high quality shots and converts lots of those shots, all while having pretty fantastic fancy stats.

    Plus, Myers is 28 years old, while Hamilton turns 25 in a few months. The age + resume should warrant a decent value difference between the two.

    your assessment of Myers is just wrong. Hamilton is a huge upgrade and that D-core is best league wide no contest. Combine that with all that talent up front and this team could very well repeat or better their performance from this year!

    and perhaps Fatigue is what did them in the WCF. They may not "need" him but that depth could be enough to go all the way in the window they have open to them. Why wouldn't you want to make the team better??

    Because I don't want to trade Wheeler. If it was a straight trade for Myers, than sure.
