Description

A team without the Sedins, and $17m in cap space. What to do?
Im on the fence about whether it would be smart to take bad contracts for picks. It would be nice, but it takes 2 to tango and for a Spezza like contract, id hope to get pack a 1st round pick. Dallas may not like that.
SO i decided to make only 1 trade involving bad contracts for picks.

We have no problem with Gagner the player; it's his contract that we can't stand and cannot afford. Retain lots - or take back someone like Dubinsky - and we'll talk.

LTIR is only relieved when a team is close to the cap. So if Clarkson was on the canucks, we would be able to get to the cap floor, because i dont think signing a whole bunch of Free agents is smart.
