Though I definitely do not think that deal would get the Hawks Pesce, I think there is a far easier retool out there. With the word now floating around that Brady Tkachuk is going to return to school next season, he seems to have slid down the draft board, maybe even enough for the Hawks to draft him at #8. You don't not draft a talent like that, especially with a frame like his that COULD POTENTIALLY step into the NHL next season. Now, if there was any team trying to convince a young kid, with hockey parents, to forgo school and immediately make an impact on a contending (hopefully) team, I would say it would be Chicago.
While Evan Bouchard is a solid defensive prospect, he is not a strong skater. He is a mature, physical defenceman that runs a solid power play, has a solid shot from the point and is a good leader and teammate. Reminds me a lot of Brent Seabrook actually. Bouchard will need at least one more year of junior hockey and will need to improve his skating in order to move into the NHL.
