The Montreal Canadiens did not have the assets to acquire Dubois before he broke out, let alone after. That is because the only acceptable asset would be a replacement #1C, and Montreal does not have one of those. We don't have anyone else lined up to take that #1C position, and we're not about to trade our 19-year-old up and comer for depth pieces on the theory that maybe we might sign Tavares possibly maybe.
Therefore, the answer to your question is easily answered as "no, it is not enough" before one even looks at the trade. Montreal can't make it happen.
