How about the habs just keep Poehling and the 3rd overall pick instead.. lots of good players available this year .. (Dubois was a 3rd overall himself.. makes no sense, bad asset management).

Simmer down a bit on dubois's value. And if you're Montreal why bother with this trade. Zdina, Tkachuck and Svechnikov are all supposed to have similar or higher value than dubois at the same age ...

Its more of a we aren’t trading Dubois and be real.... if you want a semi established first line center it’s going to cost and if you want one who’s still a teenager you’ll have to over pay. I personally would be okay Gallagher and Galchenyuk, but that won’t happen.

Bit of an overstatement. Zadina (likely 3rd overall) will definately be as good if not better as Dubois. Adding a future top 6 center , and a shitty roster players yes isin't enough, but wiht Gallagher and Galchenyuk

No...... Columbus IS NOT trading Dubois.

Also Zardina is a winger and Dubois is a center...... Columbus needed a number one center. Not another winger.

Zadina and Panarin with any center is bound to be good.

The Montreal Canadiens did not have the assets to acquire Dubois before he broke out, let alone after. That is because the only acceptable asset would be a replacement #1C, and Montreal does not have one of those. We don't have anyone else lined up to take that #1C position, and we're not about to trade our 19-year-old up and comer for depth pieces on the theory that maybe we might sign Tavares possibly maybe.

Therefore, the answer to your question is easily answered as "no, it is not enough" before one even looks at the trade. Montreal can't make it happen.
