Keep dreaming. Carlson off of a career year and WSH with limited cap space after wasting 5 million on Oshie. Parayko is 24 and signed for 5 years. Backstrom has two years left

No. Bäckström is better than Parayko. Probably in the TOP5 of most underrated players in the league since he's being overshadowed by Ovechkin.

Other trades are good.

You have no idea what the capitals cap situation is then lol. Even if the cap increased only the minimum projected value to 78M, they could easily afford to give him 8m if that’s what it took to sign him. Again, the caps won’t take this trade. Keep dreaming.

Blues would be adding the 2nd not Washington. And that is not enough for Tearavinen and Faulk IMO. Premise of trades make sense and would make the Blues look much better.
