There isn't any. Most Leaf fans think he's the "final piece" for a cup.. he really isn't.

I don't think most Leafs fans think he's the final piece, but certainly most Vancouver fans think he's the piece the Leafs need. 90% no 95% of the Tanev trades are to the Leafs. It's like Tanev has no value to any other team.
Yea, I don't see his value either, well at least the never ending fanatical value.

The value here was his experience playing with Reilly last year in the World Championships. The pairing brought the best out of the each and would fix that spot on the Leafs current roster. Shifting Hainsey to where he should be on one of the bottom 2 pairings instead of being stretched to a top 2D. He also figures to fit in the cap as he wont take much to resign. Were not getting a number 1 and fitting them without getting rid of one of either Nylander or Marner.
