This is based off of the argument that was ongoing in the thread in the NHL forum, of "Who Would You Rather - Ryan O'Reilly or Jonathan Toews"
phillyjabroni agrees with the majority of the thread that O'Reilly is the smarter and better choice, claiming the ability to allocate funds elsewhere as one of his main reasons. HawksFan28 thinks otherwise, claiming Toews' leadership and Cup wins are worthy of being chosen of O'Reilly.
Both decided to do the following challenge: you have $24M. You have to make a lineup consisting of 3 forwards, 2 defenceman, and 1 goalie. No ELCs or players on contracts of $1M or less may be included. Each player must play his position. HawksFan28 is forced to use Jonathan Toews as his center, and phillyjabroni is forced to use Ryan O'Reilly as his center.
They both came up with the following lineups:
HawksFan28:
Josh Bailey (3.3) - Johnathan Toews (10.5) - David Perron (3.75)
John Moore (1.6) - Nate Schmidt (2.2)
Carter Hutton (1.1)
phillyjabroni:
Jason Zucker (2M) - Ryan O'Reilly (7.5M) - Nikita Kucherov (4,766,667M)
Oscar Klefbom (4,166,666M) - Jacob Trouba (2.8M)
John Gibson (2.3M)
Now, it's time for the CapFriendly community to vote: who's team is the better one?
