Description
Marchand was not in this morning's skate with an "undisclosed injury" Backes was skating in his spot (this is what this morning's lines looked like), but with Backes suspended for 3 games who steps up and fills in? Who's the next man up?

Phew........ Cassidy just addressed the press; Marchand is fine. He had an appointment that ran over and he will play tonight YES!!!!!!!!!!

Wow talked about freaking out lol. I don't put much into morning skates. So many guys have maintenance days or other things that come up.

In what capacity lol

He wouldn't be playing center and with a guy like Bergy out, we need guys that play a 200ft game and can play in all situations....Spooner doesn't check the box on either of those

I was OK when Bergy, Rask, McAvoy went down, but if we lost Marchand that would be the final straw for me... granted we have Rask back now, but that would be just too many key components missing all at the same time... Yeah I probably went a little off the deep end, but when I heard this I freaked a little (a lot)...

Even still, we'd have to lose majority of our games the rest of the season to miss the playoffs. Guys should be healthy by the time we hit the playoffs
