We would have the money to do it. If we weren't so far in the tank, I think it could have been a possibility.

JT has alluded to wanting to play with a team trying to win a cup and Vancouver looks to be in a rebuild. Can't see him going there.

I agree, just a thought and think VAN has a chance to rebuild quickly like Toronto did.

Toronto had 2 young good defenders in Gardiner and Rielly and a good starter in Andy along will the big 3. I don't see Vancouver future blue line looking good enough for a quick rebuild. They are going to need to draft some more defenders in my opinion

True probably do not have quite the amount of ready players that Toronto did, but I just think the addition of Tavares would offset that.
Petterson Boeser and if Juolevi is ready, plus Tavares would be close to enough probably.

But again Tavares has to want to go there from the start either way. This is why I named it interesting landing spot.

Patterson looks extremely promising but id like to see him play on NA ice in the much more physical NHL (or AHL) before I would put all my eggs in that basket.

The star starting goalie is a huge missing piece that all teams need to compete for a cup.

Wrong! Stecher is our best defender in my opinion. Juolevi should be good. Pouliot is good and this thread didn't even resign him. Holm and Subban were also great for us but then Bennington seems to like to trade his all star Ahlqvist defenseman for scraps. By the way this thread is horrible. Stecher should be on our top pairing. Beige shouldn't even be in the line up. Hutton shouldn't even be in the line up. Pouliot should be resigned and in the line up. Get rid of del zotto and put in juolevi. Trade gudbranson and sign someone better. Get rid of sutter, he's decent but not worth paying him that much to be a bottom Line guy. Sign gaudette to his elc. Kole Lind could possibly make the line up too, have you seen him? He looked NHL ready this past preseason... Right after being drafted. Now that's how you rebuild on the fly.

Well then sorry about that. Your looking at it from an outside perspective I guess. So yes I do like your idea then. Look at what I said though. Those prospects are actually good.
