Description
I don't see much happening in way of free agency for the sabres. I think the big change will being bringing in more youth as we have several prospects in the system lighting it up this year.

Botts might decided to blow things up more but I just can't see why you would trade O'Reilly or Okposo at this being that their trade stock is so low from them having bad seasons. Okposo I could live without but ROR we need he's invaluable

I did a random mock draft to determine the picks and the sabres won the draft in it. So I have them doubling up at D in the first 2 rounds
1st - Rasmus Dahlin
33rd - Alexander Alexeyev

Having a player on LTIR doesn't really affect a teams cap. Having Bogo even at 50% does.

i hope cole shoots right or only 1 of the 8 d men will if you lose bogo. also as a die hard fan of them they still need a year or 2 to stock players especially on d and rw. bogo is probable only going to fetch a 4 th right now until he proves he can stay health and is near end of contract . new buffalo style will be fast players so they wont sign cullen or cole for more than a year.

Buying out Bogosian is cheaper and will not be a significant impact on their cap. I agree ROR is invaluable. Nelson is not worth 1.2 mill lol. Pateryn is a RHD having a hell of a year right now, someone the Sabres should target if Dallas lets him go. IDK that NYI deal makes any sense, nor is feasible. Cullen is not having a good season, I dont see him coming back if MIN isnt interested.

The side they shoot on doesnt affect which side they play on. Sabres need to worry about their LW more than their RW.

I'm kinda hoping the Sabres dont win Dahlin or if they do trade out of #1, they really need a top end LWer (Zadina or Tkachuk)

Dont tell me what i think, i now that we can move some players over. Even then the Depth is lacking. Rodrigues is not a top 6 forward but a very intriguing bottom 6. Id like Mittlestadt at 3c especially in his first couple seasons. CJ smith has proven nothing at the NHL level, Nylander is a possible bust, Olofsson is another bottom 6er, and O'Regan is a bottom 6er. They're very weak at LW. Pommer is an anchor on the right, unfortunately. Reinhart still has another gear i think we'll see once the team gets more depth. Okposo is a good number 2, Pu is a year or 2 away, Bailey, and baptiste are depth, Fasching is a good 4th liner. Not much up front

The NYI dont have a 2n or third in that draft thats why its possible they would be willing to trade out of a 1st to get more picks. Also cole and cullen could be changed out for any veterans with winning pedigree to bring to the locker room which would be their purpose.

Every Gm would take 1 1st over 2 2nds. The math and logic is in their favor. Especially when your sending Pit and Chi's 2nds. Potentially thats like swapping pick 20 for pick 52 and 59. You'd have to send back a first so that only works if you're moving up.

You dont know the stats about drafting do you lol. Late round 1sts and 2nd round picks have only a 7 percent difference in gp. So the disperancy between the 2 is not that different so have more picks is having a better chance to hit. If they just keep there first (that will be late) they miss on it, then their hopes are on a 4th from that draft.
