Nurse?

Could a deal like this work? I'm not sure on the value EDM holds on Nurse, but I think he would solidify that second pairing next to Carlo, and then leave the play-making D-man on the power play to be Gryz.

The exact opposite could be said for EDM, where they now get a play-making d-man who can create rushes (they might already have that, I don't follow their roster too closely).

As for Coyle, I think he would be a great fit on either Bergy or Krecji's wing. He brings size and speed, and can play C as well if there are any injuries that come about. I considered Zboril in the package as well (rather than the 1st), as I know the Wild's LHD depth isn't too great past the NHL roster. Zboril would give them a close to NHL ready caliber prospect, who has top-4 projections. i know the talent Coyle is, and that the Wild hold him in high regards, so I may be well short on what would be a necessary offer.

Let me know what you guys think. I hadn't seen many Nurse trades so wasn't exactly sure where to put the value.

If we didn't trade nurse for Dougie... We're not about to trade him for Krug. I like him but.. No if we're trading him.. It's for a right shot. But again no, we love this kid

Thanks for the input. I didn't realize EDM were that high on him. Thought for some reason he was in the backseat compared with Klefbom. Maybe I have the two of them mixed up?

The price for Nurse would be similar to the price for McAvoy. McAvoy's got more value, but Nurse is still Edmonton's best d-man and is still very young. Although with Chia at the wheel who knows.

Last year that statement is probably correct. Klefbom played great last year and Nurse still had some growing pains. This year Nurse has taken a massive leap forward and Klefbom has taken a step back for sure.

i think EDM price for Nurse would be pretty high, as an edmonton fan id be very unhappy about this trade

Ya, well I'd say that was klefboms first full year as a pro.. So it's kinda his sophomore slump. But I think a part of the problem was coaching at the beginning bc all the dmen were making terrible Pinches. I still like them both. But seeing as we got Russell for 3 more years and Sekera for a couple. We have a real leftorium problem. But ya its the other way around my man. Nurse is going to be full beast mode for us next few years

I love Coyle....but that’s an overpay.


Not intersted in EDM deal. Nice long term but i’d rather have Krug this year fior playoff run. Prefer Klebom too. Plus they pass on it anyway.

Wild should take that and run. I don't like Spooner at all, but that's a huge overpay for Coyle.
