The only way they could possibly do that and keep McDonagh for another season is to trade Brodin, who has been outstanding this year and is only 24. The Wild are more likely to search for a rental who can fill in for Brodin this next month while he's injured. Once Brodin gets back, the rental will move down to the 3rd pairing

Id say you can make that 1st in 19 a conditional pick. If he resigns with MIN then its a 1st if he does not it slides to a 2nd

I don't see McD as more than a rental for Minny. Too much money/term left on Suter's deal, and McD will be looking for a big payday on his next contract.

The Wild are too much of a Jekyll and Hyde this year to be mortgaging their future on trying to make this year's team work.
