MB 's trades =
Weise and Fleischmn for Danault and a 2nd
MB stock piles picks.

Vanek deal he used a fresh drafted player and a pick for everyone cried about
both busted .

look at MB's trade history then look at Sweeney's in BOS or Chirelli in EDM and you'll gain CONTEXT

MB's staff was already in place when he showed up
he's never ran this ship its always been Molson since he became President in 2011
after the Cammalerri debacle saw the Board from Molson give him his warning .
(Molson board is who forced the sale originally in 2003 but because of Geoffs brother Andrew being
a high power Board Member after years of debate Molson backed the Brothers Dream but just like 2003 that can change quick )

Molson hired Clement Joidin who is always on the molson radar
hired Larry Carierre to over see Development like Julien Brisebois in TBL (LC has been the definition of failure )
then he hired MB after he already started setting up the system around him

before MB ever took the job ,Molson had placed who he trusted in the system
not letting the GM hire his own staff entirely .

our President is the only owner of 31 NHL teams to be drunk enough to not hire a professional
its why we've had 3 GM's ,4 Coaches and more assistant coaches then i can count but until Clement resigned
Molson's 2 consistent **** up of hire's were untouchable (Carierre is responsible for hiring Lefevbre to 3 team teams in 3 different locations in 6 years with only 1 playoff )

you're literally arguing opinion .

the reality is our youth is thriving with Subban and Weber has already mentored more youth in 1 year then
Subban did in his entire career .

No Weber , guaranteed Sergachev doesnt get the looks he did last year
Subban Markov just stayed together and ignored the youth so we had to trade picks for ''Defensive Leadership '' players like
Spacek ,Murray,Gonchar,Weaver, Gill ,Kaberle and the list literally goes on and on and on.

with Subban here not 1 but 2 first round D went bust not to forget the revolving door of players we signed to plug those holes from Campoli to Diaz from Gilbert to Schlemko

Sergachev barely played with Weber and spent most of his time in Juniors. He was already a top prospect and Weber didn't change that. Weber is a good player and leader but Nashville completely won the trade because Subban is an allstar while Weber has been injured for a lot of time and his play has been declining. Bergevin should have been able to get picks in that trade. Also the youth hadn't been drafted when Subban was on the habs.

Value for the CGY deal is not bad at all. But backlund is too important to our team, it would never happen.

subban is going to be traded from NSH by summer 2019
because right now 3/4 top D make 9.25m and NSH has
2/3 D mentioned due paydays and considering both are
top pairing D in NSH last playoffs you'd have to think
they stick with the core Shea trained and avoid PK UFA saga
by trading him to a team like EDM ,LA,CHI or PIT and get solid pieces .

plus Subban hasnt played to the level his 9m dollar contract says he should
yes he's been as good as most 7m dollar defensman but when push came to shove
in the finals subban sat in the penalty box 4 playoff games 3 of which NSH lost and
the Defensman they paid 9m dollars and Weber for who was suppose to provide the
offense to tip the scales in their favor cost his team when it mattered most .

Subban is a great player but they did pay him to play 2nd pairing like he's Petry
even with Ellis injured until 4 games ago Subban wasnt promoted , ekholm was to top line
with Subban and Emelin taking 2nd pair . they'd make the most impact flipping him to a team like
EDM who would give up a big piece to land him as Chirelli was all over Subban for a year before he went to NSH
wanting to trade EDM pick for Subban so we could get Dubois but CBJ picking him over Pujlarvi and Tkchuck threw the
draft into chaos from there and ended up allowing us to get Sergachev so late .

Nashville runs more of a 1A/1B with it's top-4, both pairs end up seeing ~24 mins a night.

Subban going to the box didn't cost Nashville the Cup, not scoring a goal in the last 2 games cost them the Cup. Pit scored 2PPG the entire Finals. Subban was in the box for neither of them.
Subban penalties
-G1: Delay of game. No goals scored
-G2: Fighting (offset Malkin). No goals scored.
-G3: Holding. No goals scored
-G4: None
-G5: Holding (offset Crosby). Pit scored 4v4.
-G6: None.

Nashville is setup pretty well for the next few years. Most of their better players are signed for longterm. Even if Josi and Ellis get matching $6m/y deals they'll only be spending ~$27m/yr (Ekholm's contract is a steal) on their d-corps.

Are you acutally suggesting Subban played below expectations in the finals? He was a total beast come on. And as Josi and Subban are both offensive dmen, the Preds coaching staff wanted to balance it out by putting the steady Ekholm with Josi and Emelin, who Subban is already familiar with from the Montreal days, with Subban.

Yeah Ryan-Nugent-Hopkins+Milan Lucic aren't worth 3 1st round picks combined not even close that's terrible neither have lived up to expectations.
