Benning has value in that trade too..... No matter what we do next we will have to over pay, thats just how it is. And Min has healthy scratched Cullen in last cpl games and they need a 5-6 d-man badly... they are starting Prosser who they just got off waivers
Cullen was scratched 1 game. He took a stinger the game before and wasn't right in practice. All the of the Wild's bottom-6 has been scratched this year. BB has been using it as a wake up tool and for the most part they have all responded the next game.
Ruhwedel doesn't do anything for the Wild. He'd just join Reilly, Olofsson, Murphy (played really well when Spurgeon was out), and Prosser on the bubble of playing, pressbox, or AHL/waivers rotation.
Prosser isn't a great player, but he's a good fit for the Wild's 6/7D. He knows the team, their system, and is responsible enough to cover for the rookie mistakes Reilly/Olofsson make.
Cullen for a pick if the Wild are out of it, and Cullen wants it is fine. They are at the 50 contract limit, so it benefits them more to just get a pick and open up a contract slot for Greenway/Belpedio to sign when the college season is over.
