That is such a huge overpay for Strome. Sprong is probably worth more than Strome. Sprong has 15 goals in 25 games in the AHL as a 20-year-old. Strome has 15 points in 34 games in the NHL. Also, Matt Cullen probably has more value than Ruhwedel so why are the Wild giving up a 3rd when the pens only give a 4th.

Benning has value in that trade too..... No matter what we do next we will have to over pay, thats just how it is. And Min has healthy scratched Cullen in last cpl games and they need a 5-6 d-man badly... they are starting Prosser who they just got off waivers

Ian cole has as much value as Matt Benning IMO but, for the sake of argument, we'll call that swap a win for the Oilers.
Ian Cole=Matt Benning
Daniel Sprong > Ryan Strome
2nd round pick???

The value of Ian Cole is close to matt benning but you're telling me a free 2nd and the difference between Sprong and Strome is fair value to make up the difference? I get we will have to overpay but if I am GMJR, I block Chiarelli's number after that offer!

man ur not giving enough for Matt Benning. Strome is easily worth more than Sprong seeing as hes actually an NHL player, and every scouting report talks about Sprong as selfish with low Hockey IQ

Cullen was scratched 1 game. He took a stinger the game before and wasn't right in practice. All the of the Wild's bottom-6 has been scratched this year. BB has been using it as a wake up tool and for the most part they have all responded the next game.

Ruhwedel doesn't do anything for the Wild. He'd just join Reilly, Olofsson, Murphy (played really well when Spurgeon was out), and Prosser on the bubble of playing, pressbox, or AHL/waivers rotation.

Prosser isn't a great player, but he's a good fit for the Wild's 6/7D. He knows the team, their system, and is responsible enough to cover for the rookie mistakes Reilly/Olofsson make.

Cullen for a pick if the Wild are out of it, and Cullen wants it is fine. They are at the 50 contract limit, so it benefits them more to just get a pick and open up a contract slot for Greenway/Belpedio to sign when the college season is over.

Scouts said the complete opposite lol. They said Sprong was one of the most electric players and easily had one of the highest offensive ceilings of the 2015 draft, all while being a reliable 2 way forward. Pretty comparable to Alex DeBrincat, who I feel is WAY more valuable than Strome. NHL playing time doesn't usually have anything to do with value, especially when saying Sprong is the prospect of one of the best depth teams in the NHL. Sprong is an easy top 6 forward in a year or two.

oh sweetheart if you think that the pens are a good depth team you're sadly mistaken. their bottom six is abysmal
