Good trade with Dallas for both teams. But I don't think Devils is interested in another LHD. They're probably looking for a RHD. As for Avs, they'd never accept this trade, cause they don't need another LHD either. Specially one like JJ...

Vatanen, Severson, Santini, and Lovejoy
...could def use Maatta

And Colorado could use almost any D

Lovejoy will probably leave after this season. He's a UFA. It seems like Vatanen is playing as LD. Besides, when you look at all Devils D prospects, just Santini is RHD. Ty Smith, their best prospect is a LHD. Sissons and Davies are LHD either. They already have in their roster Greene and Butcher. So, I think it's more reasonable to them get another RHD.
