Buffalo is not trading a 23 year old top pairing rhd who plays 27 minutes a night, puts up 40+ points and has a bargain contract unless you really bring it. This doesn't cut it

If we trade Risto,
our only RH defensemen are:
Bogosian- who’s ALWAYS hurt
and Nelson- who looks promising, but hasn’t even played a full season yet

Risto for a winger just isn’t gonna happen
We (stupidity) turned down Taylor Hall for him last summer
So that’s how highly (i know, stupid) we think of him

As for the Leafs trade, I know many Leaf fans would jump all over that trade, I however would not. Mainly because I believe TO can upgrade their defence in a much more affordable way and keep Nylander which makes them a better team. Its nothing against Dumba or this proposed trade, more of a philosophical belief that trading young forwards with an extremely high ceiling for defence is never a good idea.

23 year old RHD who score 50 points are rarer than young forwards with extremely high ceilings...
